Product range & specifications

Four lines, produced to order. Where a standard size exists we use it — it shortens lead time and keeps tooling cost off your invoice. Where it doesn't, we tool to your drawing.

Line 01

Single-use PE medicine bags

Flexible polyethylene bags for liquid handling, intermediate storage, sampling and transfer. Built from virgin LDPE or LLDPE with no slip additives, so the contact surface stays clean and the weld stays strong.

Standard configurations

VolumeNominal dimensionsFilm thicknessTypical use
0.5 L150 × 200 mm0.08 mmSampling, small aliquots
1 L180 × 250 mm0.08 mmSampling, QC retention
2 L220 × 300 mm0.10 mmBuffer and media hold
5 L300 × 380 mm0.10 mmProcess intermediate
10 L380 × 480 mm0.12 mmBulk liquid transfer
20 L450 × 600 mm0.12 mmMedia preparation
50 L600 × 800 mm0.15 mmBulk hold, single-use mixing

Custom dimensions are the norm, not the exception — send us the volume and footprint you need and we will confirm the film gauge.

Fitments & connections

  • Standard spout with screw cap, welded to the bag face or top seam
  • Luer-lock and luer-slip ports for syringe access
  • Needle-free / needleless access valves
  • Dip tubes in cut-to-length or floating configuration
  • Aseptic connectors and sterile weldable tubing where a closed system is required
  • Hanging loops, grommets or welded tabs for rack and bag-holder mounting

Reagent bottles & lab containers

Rigid containers for reagents, buffers, media, stains and samples. The resin is chosen for chemical compatibility first, appearance second — a bottle that yellows is annoying; a bottle that leaches is a recall.

MaterialClarityChemical resistanceBest suited to
HDPEOpaqueExcellent — broad rangeAqueous reagents, buffers, general lab use
PPTranslucentVery good, autoclavableMedia, solutions requiring sterilisation
PETClearGood — avoid strong alkaliVisual inspection, display, diagnostics
PSClear, rigidModerateDry reagents, specimen containers
LDPESqueezableExcellentDrop-dispense bottles, wash bottles

Standard capacities

30 mL, 60 mL, 125 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 1,000 mL and 2,000 mL in narrow-mouth and wide-mouth formats. Square and round profiles. Amber and light-blocking options for photosensitive reagents.

Closures

  • Screw caps with PE or PTFE-faced liners — 24-410, 28-410, 38-400, 53-400 and other standard necks
  • Flip-top dispensing caps and push-pull closures
  • Vented caps for media and gas exchange
  • Dropper and dropper-tip inserts
  • Tamper-evident ring and induction-seal liners where traceability matters

Chemical compatibility check. Tell us the reagent, the concentration and the storage temperature. We will confirm the resin and the liner material before quoting, and put the recommendation in writing.

Line 03

Sampling & biohazard bags

Bags that leave the lab. Printed, closable, autoclavable and — where the application requires it — labelled to UN3373 Category B transport requirements with the correct pictogram and 95 kPa pressure wording.

TypeClosureThicknessApplication
Stand-up sampling bagWire or zip0.05–0.09 mmLiquid and powder sampling, homogenisation
Flat sampling bagZip or heat-seal0.05–0.08 mmGeneral sample transport
Biohazard transport bagZip + document pouch0.05 mmSpecimen transport, UN3373 marking
Autoclave bagTwist-tie or heat-seal0.05–0.08 mmDecontamination at 121 °C
Sterile sampling bagZip or tear-top0.07 mmMicrobiology, gamma sterilised

Printing & marking

  • Up to four colours, flexo or digital, registered to your artwork
  • Biohazard and UN3373 pictograms
  • Write-on white panel for sample ID
  • Barcodes, QR codes and lot numbering
  • Multi-language transport wording

A note on transport claims. Marking a bag with UN3373 wording does not by itself certify a packaging for Category B transport. That depends on the complete package and your own validation. We supply bags built to the P650 performance requirements and will document the test data we hold — but final compliance stays with the shipper. We will say so in writing rather than let you assume otherwise.

Custom & private label

For distributors and established brands: your artwork, your part numbers, your packaging format — produced under your name and shipped without any Fortuna branding unless you ask for it.

Artwork & branding

Pantone matching, multi-colour flexo, barcode and lot marking, instructions for use printed or supplied as a loose insert. Print proofs approved before the run starts.

Tooling & dimensions

New moulds and forming tools from your drawing, a competitor sample, or just the target volume and footprint. Tooling cost is quoted separately and stated up front.

Packing formats

Bulk cartons, cleanroom double-bagged, individually bagged sterile units, kitted procedure packs with your components and ours combined in one sterile presentation.

Regulatory file

Technical file support for your own registration: material declarations, test reports, process descriptions and change-control commitments written for a notified body or FDA reviewer.

Lead times

Standard sizes: 25–30 days after artwork approval. New tooling: add 20–35 days for mould manufacture and first-article approval. We quote the realistic date, not the attractive one.

Exclusivity

For volume commitments we will agree product exclusivity in a named territory, in writing, so your private-label line is not sold out from under you.

Materials & documentation

What we can put in your file

Ask for any of the following at quotation stage — we will confirm which we hold for the specific grade before you order.

DocumentScopeIssued
Certificate of AnalysisDimensional check, seal strength, visual inspection against the agreed specificationPer lot
Material declarationResin grade, supplier, additives, absence of slip and antiblock agents where specifiedPer order
USP <661> statementPhysico-chemical testing of the contact materialPer material, on file
USP <87> / <88> (Class VI)Biological reactivity and implantation testingPer material, on file
EU 10/2011 declarationPlastic food-contact compliance, including migration dataPer material
FDA 21 CFR 177 statementIndirect food additive / olefin polymer compliancePer material
Irradiation certificateDose mapping, minimum and maximum dose, dosimeter recordsPer sterilisation lot
Sterility assurance statementSAL 10⁻⁶ claim basis and validation referencePer sterilisation lot
Change control noticeNotification of any resin, supplier or process change before shipmentOn change

Availability depends on the material and the manufacturing site. Where a document is not held, we will say so at quotation rather than after the order.

Not sure which line fits your application?

Describe the use case — what goes in it, at what temperature, and how it is handled — and we will point you at the right product and resin, even if that means telling you we are not the best supplier for it.
